OMCA place their 50 kg/h pilot flaker at their customers’
disposal, to test the
characteristics of the products to be handled in order to be able to select the
industrial-scale model accordingly.
OMCA flakers consist in a single rotating cylinder with its lower part immersed in a
heated and insulated tank.
The material of which the cylinder is made as well as of alla parts which come in
contact with the product may be AISI steel or any other more or less high-quality material
depending on the characteristics of the product.
The flaking system which consists of one main cutter and two side cutters mostly made
of phosphor -bronze is manually adjusted by two handwheels.
Automatic adjustment can be supplied on demand.
The variable speed drive may consist of a hydraulically operated speed change gear or
of a gearmotor with inverter both of them remote-controlled.
